Chart of Geometrical Shapes of Gemstones and Crystals

The scientific definition of a "crystal" is based on the microscopic arrangement of atoms inside it, called the crystal structure. A crystal is a solid where the atoms form a periodic arrangement. There shapes harness energy. Crystals grow in geometrical shapes. Examples, diamonds grow in Octahedrons.

This solid material whose constituents, such as atoms, molecules or ions, are arranged in a highly ordered microscopic structure, which forms a crystal lattice that extends in all directions.

Below are some examples of various crystals that form into specific shapes

Do you remember geometry math class and drawing triangles, spheres, cubes, hectagons etc and scratching your head thinking “Why is this even important”? Geometrical shapes shape our world!! Our buildings, our homes, the shape of various objects we use every day. Shapes are math and math is the universal language of creation.
